On MacOS, there are multiple shells that you can choose from (according to Wikipedia), such as Bash, Tcsh, ksh or zsh. I think that you'll first need to take a look at this or/and this, which explains the difference between a terminal and a shell. I am not looking for anything super fancy, I basically just want to change the colors! I have seen lots of terminal customization posts, and it all looks very cool but a bit more than what I am looking for. So my question is this: is there another terminal for Windows that is similar to Git Bash (i.e., let me use git and bash.sorry if that is a stupid question) where I could easily install different color schemes? And a similar question for previous/current Mac users: which terminal do you use on Windows? Git Bash works fine for the most part, but what I noticed is I really do not seem to be able to easily change colors here the way I did on iTerm2. I use git quite often for version control. This is something I use because my advisor uses it. For the command line, I have been using Git Bash. I switched to a Windows computer in Jaunary and have been pretty happy with it. I did not have to design the color schemes but could rather easily find them online and install to change things up if I so chose.

It was fairly easy to change the color scheme on iTerm2, which I did every now and then and it just made me feel good/more comfortable when I could switch the colors after a while. iTerm2 was just a suggestion by the person who taught me how to use the command line in the first place, so I didn't have any real attachment for it/reason to use it apart from that. I used to have a Mac and used iTerm2 to get around on the command line.
